My momma made these little beauties….
…they look so super easy to make, so much so, you might as well get a few wreath forms, a bunch of different colors of mesh and make yourself a few at a time, I mean, there’s nothing wrong with having a wreath on your door all year long.
Get to your local craft store, and grab yourself some:
Wire wreath forms
Have on hand:
Lets get started:
Measure our your mesh to the length of the roll (most I’ve seen are about 21″) by about 9″ long and cut – Cut that in half so you have two piece about 10 1/2″ x 9″
Tie floral wire around one end of each piece – leave a long “tail” of wire
Use that “tail” of wire to tie around the wire wreath form
Continue to cut your mesh, tie it off and tie to the form, until you’ve completed the wreath
Add any decorations you desire, some flowers always look good, I think something to where you can interchange some colors would be goos (i.e. the green used here would look good with a few four-leaf clovers for St Patty’s Day)
For the pink wreath, use the 5 1/2″ roll (Going off what mom got at Hob Lob)
Tie off the end of the mesh on the wreath form (use the outer ring), and make “poofs” all the way around, tying off after each poof, make your way around the wreath, making sure its full.
Repeat with another color on the inner ring of the form.
Add some fun decorations; like the flowers on this one….or another idea, add some red in there (like the wooden hearts you can get at the craft sore) for a cute V-Day wreath….
Go on and get crafty on these…I’m already thinking a Red, White and Blue wreath would be great to have hanging for Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day….show your USA Pride….and as I write this a BLUE & ORANGE…to show my BRONCO pride to hang during football season would be great too!! So many ideas….
P.S. DONT FORGET YOUR COUPONS!!!!
P.S.S. Thanks mom for making these…they turned out great!!!
