Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

Its summer time, and the fruit is a plenty…..

Time to make some fresh lemonade, with tasty ripe fruit!

What you’ll need:

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 cup fresh lemon juice (5-6 large lemons)

1 pint fresh fruit

2 cups club soda, sparkling water or regular water – your choice

What you’ll do:

~In saucepan heat 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar (making a simple syrup), once sugar is completely dissolved add lemon juice, and take off stove top.

~Let cool completely before moving on…OK I’m inpatient and cant wait, stick it in the freezer or fridge for awhile to start the chilling process..

~In meantime, puree the pint of fruit that you’re going to be using in a blender, the puree doesn’t have to be super fine, remember fruit chunks are GOOD!!!

~Once water/sugar/lemon mixture is slightly cool, I used ice cold water, 2 cups, to finish the cooling process. Pour liquid mixture into pitcher along with fruit puree, mix well and enjoy…

—-OR—-

~Juice lemons in a juicer (I use a Breville and its the BEST)

~Pour lemon juice, 1 cup water, and sugar in a shaker (like a martini shaker)….and shake like a salt shaker!!

~Juice all your fruit or use an immersion blender to puree

~Pour lemon juice and fruit mix into a pitcher and add the 2 cups club soda or water

~Serve over ice, garnish with fresh fruit and enjoy

Either way you make it, you’ll enjoy it..

  1. Yum! I love lemonade, but haven’t made my own yet. This seems like the perfect inspiration!
