Tortilla Chips

I tend to be a do it all or not at all type, when it comes to some things in my life.  And, yes there are some areas that I do things half-ass, no need to let me know now that I’ve said it.

So for the Super Bowl shin-dig we had at our home I made my world famous guacamole (recipe to come…someday), and instead of sending Rene to the store for chips I just made them.

Super easy, not much time involved (kinda of) and delis!!

What you’ll need:

Corn tortillas

Oil for Frying

Salt to season

What you’ll do:

Cut tortillas into 6 like you would a quesadilla.  Place them in hot oil (about 350 or so) and stir them around so they can evenly fry.

When they start to rise to the top, they are pretty much done, although you may want to check depending on the oil temp, when in doubt leave for a bit longer, just until golden brown, but not burnt, its a fine line!!!

Drain on paper towel and season with salt.

Serve

Enjoy…
